TBS过去直接预订《奇迹缔造者 Miracle Workers》成剧，这部喜剧由《哈利波特 Harry Potter》系列主角Daniel Radcliffe，以及Steve Buscemi主演，这剧由Lorne Michaels当执行制片﹑《男追女 Man Seeking Woman》的Simon Rich主创。 这部根据Simon Rich所著一书《What in God’s Name》改篇的7集诗选剧预定在18年播出，《奇迹缔造者》是部职场喜剧，不过这个「职场」是指天堂，Daniel Radcliffe饰演低级天使Craig，负责处理全人类的祈祷，Steve Buscemi（原本是Owen Wilson，后被取代）则饰演Craig的顶头上司 - 上帝。这位上帝因为自己爱好关系而擅离职守，因此Craig为了阻止地球被毁，他得在限期前完成最不可能的奇迹。 Geraldine Viswanathan饰演Eliza，她经过在天堂收发室的500年默默耕耘﹑孜孜不倦地分类人间数十亿人的各种祈祷，终于被提拔到「祈祷回应部」。她对自己终于能为人类回复祈祷来帮助他们而感到高兴，但Eliza发现真相是仅有极少量的祈祷会得到答复，这现实泼了她一脸冷水……更要命的是这些所谓「祈祷」，只是想找到车匙或想赶上电梯这类鸡毛蒜皮小事；而身为完美主义者的她，决定在新工作第一天就处理重要「祈祷」，但这无意中引发了能毁灭地球的灾难。 Jon Bass饰演Sam，温柔体贴﹑害羞﹑善良﹑孤独的他认为自己没吸引力又没成就而感到自卑。当他遇上Laura时，爱上对方的Sam不敢有所行动，因此他决定向上帝祈祷能与Laura一起。Karan Soni饰演上帝的左右手，负责每周向上帝汇报；他性格上有点「好好先生」，因此他得尽力去应付这顽童似的上司，并与他争论一些绝对会引发大问题的主意，例如炸了Bill Maher（单口秀演员﹑清谈节目主持）……或者毁坏地球。
