澳门赌场，任职荷官的两夫妇符小波（陈观泰饰）、李秋霞（吴浣仪饰）在赌场中发现一名弃婴，于是把他带回家中抚养，取名符金宝（张智霖饰）。金宝自小就遗传了出色的赌博天赋，更仗着父母工作的关系，经常混迹赌场，沉迷于赌博。为让金宝远离赌博，两夫妇决定辞去赌场工作，让他健康成长。已长大成人的金宝谨遵双亲的教诲，远离赌博，生活循规蹈矩。他与青梅竹马的童花顺（蔡少芬饰）相恋多年，金宝早认定花顺是自己将来的妻子。然而金宝时不时流露出来的赌博天份，被小混混尖头（杜汶泽饰）看准，逐步领他走进赌博世界。金宝凭借过人的天份在赌桌上尝尽甜头，却不曾想，等待他的是一个万劫不复的残酷深渊。 香港亚洲电视于2010年制作的电视剧《胜者为王Ⅳ金钱本色》，由张智霖、蔡少芬、杜汶泽等明星领衔主演。本剧集除了名字与《胜者为王》系列一样，其余皆不相同，并非以前系列剧的续集。全新的制作班底以及全新的人物故事，共同构筑了这部赌场内外的爱恨情仇。
