故事讲述神人魔三界，共享安宁。为帮助人间解决难题，维护人间和谐，神界上仙委派时神（年神，月神，日神，时神）到人间帮助人们实现愿望和解决困难。然而在一次任务中，时神刘洪无法解决人间女子刘倩的感情问题。为了洞察人情，了解人心，感同身受。刘洪化身凡人接近刘倩，就在一次次故意制造的与刘倩的接触中，刘洪慢慢爱上了刘倩。与此同时，噩耗降至。游玩之中，刘倩溺水身亡。为了救回刘倩，刘洪不顾大哥们的劝阻，只身前往地狱试图带回来刘倩的三魂七魄，殊不知刘倩的灵魂被掌管第三层地狱“红缨总管”卖给了第四层地狱的大魔王黑罗煞，于是刘洪闯入魔宫，然而凶性残暴的魔宫中人面对时神刘洪的到来，兵戎相见。血战之后，身负重伤的刘洪面对强大的黑罗刹，展开了最后的殊死拼杀。
